Her cat had a new set of kittens later and they liked to roam around my front yard, stalking finches and doing recon missions into the garbage can. Somehow this only made me like them more.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08644569152748119356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209692386668184870.post-28150930717876192592012-04-15T07:09:04.886-06:002012-04-15T07:09:04.886-06:00Yup, none of us any worse for wear. What was so strange that I don't really communicate in this post, is that many of these same people had evacuated only eleven years before and then 400 lost their homes, so there was this huge element of PTSD for the community.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08644569152748119356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209692386668184870.post-74807723849840417332012-04-15T07:06:48.138-06:002012-04-15T07:06:48.138-06:00It took a long time, making sure all the photos I ...It took a long time, making sure all the photos I or my family didn't take were either government or creatives commons sourced, so I'm glad you like them. How could I avoid too much cleaning when I got back? How much food would ducks need while we ere evacuated for an indefinite period of time? I was so concerned about all of those sorts of things that I kept having to go shopping once we were in Albuquerque because of all the stuff I hadn't brought with us that we needed. I ended up with a bunch of weird WalMart clothes that I never wore again.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08644569152748119356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209692386668184870.post-63924855572944986262012-04-15T07:01:17.045-06:002012-04-15T07:01:17.045-06:00Thanks, it was an incredibly tense experience. Thanks, it was an incredibly tense experience.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08644569152748119356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9209692386668184870.post-90196537486202026462012-04-15T07:00:54.624-06:002012-04-15T07:00:54.624-06:00It was one of one of those bizarre experiences tha...It was one of one of those bizarre experiences that you just can't quite imagine until you are there. While we were all evacuated a Facebook group was created for people to share news and it still has over 3,000 members. We kept seeing Los Alamos people while we were evacuated in Albuquerque.
